I don't think so, the probate records are all at the Claiborne parish clerks office. Maybe they were buried on their land. When Thomas died in 1854 he left no will, I received the papers of succession yesterday and the widow sold the land and property for some reason, she was the guardian for their 4 minor children. I know nothing about Louisiana law in these case. The papers had a family meeting held and that was what was decided. Hilliard/Hillyard died in 1862 and his wife moved to AR. Thank you for looking for me. Judy
Unfortunately, I could not find one single Frost name in either of the 4 Cemetery books for Claiborne Parish. Could they be in a neighboring Parish? ----- Original Message ----- From: Judith Gresham To: LACLAIBO-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, March 27, 2002 7:45 PM Subject: [LACLAIBO] Frost Family I was wondering if there is a cemetery book for Claiborne Parish. I am looking for a grave for Thomas C. Frost and a child by the name of Elehtia Jane Frost. Also is there a grave for Hilliard J. Frost. Thank you for any help you can give me. Marilyn, Mother is home, but not really thriving as I would like. She has been running a fever, but we are going Monday to get the feeding tube out. You like to have scared the wee wee out of me when you sent me that thing the other day! I owe you one. bj

Just for a while. We get so many emails these days (mosty my husband's genealogy hunt) and I have so little time to look at them. I have two jobs you know! I am working out of town next week and I have a lot of catching up to do on things. I know you and Jerry get these too and I hope you will keep me posted if I miss out on something. I was afraid we'd have hundreds when we get back if I didnt' do something to stem it a little bit. I thought if I unsubscribed to some of mine there would be less to dig thru when we get back. I heard your Mom got to come home. How is she doing? Bet your Dad is tickled to have her back. They will appreciate each other more now that they have had to be apart, I am sure. Take care. Keep me posted? They left for Union County AR in 1836. Also seeking information on Creed Taylor Thompson and wife Eliza. Probably came to LA from Nacogdoches TX in 1836. Eliza died in Claiborne Parrish in 1837. Creed and children moved on to Union Co AR afterwards, where he died in 1840.
