    3. I am searching for a very elusive relative, William B. Gambill/Gamble who died in 1866 I believe in Bossier Parish, LA at the home of his sister, Sarah Gambill Larkin. I cannot find an obit, cemetery listing, anything on him, and I find it strange because the succession papers that Sarah filed after his death estimated his worth at over $25,000...quite a sum at that time. He owned a place that was a general store, I assume, called the Store, but the sale of all of the items are listed but not the actual location. He left no immediate heirs other than siblings. I believe that I have found him in the 1840 and 1850 Clairborne Parish census. I did find a W.B. Gumble listed as merchant in the 1860 Bossier Parish census, born in TN. I thank you in advance for any time and effort that you can give. 3. I have very little information but in my line there is a Robert L. Huddleston who married Emma Larkin who was born 2/2/1880 in Louisiana, probably Bossier or Claiborne. They married Dec 15, 1897 in Benton, La and Emma died Sept 11, 1901 and is buried in Caney Creek Cemetery. I am not sure if there is any connection, but if this information helps, I'm glad. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CCB.2ACE/72.72 Message Board Post: There is a Samuel A. McKee who's father was William McKee that was in Bienville and Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. Many have mistaken the name for McRee. In fact the family has been indexed in a number of the records in Claiborne Parish as McRee. Do you think that could be the ones you are looking. Samuel McKee's probate is filed in Claiborne Parish. His father William McKee was the one that filed it. Samuel had died in the Civil War. Sarah Jane McKee, his suppose daughter, was my ggrandmother. I say suppose because she was really not his daughter as she was born one year and ten months after his death. We believe that Lemual Andrew Craighead was her father as Sarah Jane's mother married Mr. Craighead after he returned from the war. Lemual was in the same regiment as Samuel McKee and had come home from the war and gave Samuel's wife the news that her husband had been killed. If you think these are yours will be glad to exchange information with you. Wanda Head Shreveport, LA

I recently received the succession papers of our Thomas Frost. In the papers it very clearly names the brother of the childrens Mother as an uncle. The brother and brother in laws of the deceased Father are referred to as friends. Is this typical. We are 99.9% certain that these men were also uncles of these children. Thank you for any help you can give us on this.
