Walt You probably have checked this out, but I looked at an 1895 Atlas map of Louisiana and could not find Ryanville. Here is the URL in case I missed it. It is an interesting map. Ryanville may have been a very small community not "worthy" of being listed on the maps of the time. You can get an index to towns and cities from the home page.
