To any one who knows anything about figs, I have 3 gallons of figs, just picked and I cannot find my recipe for fig preserves. (If I ever had one) I HAVE BEEN COOKING THEM FOR YEARS, BUT NOT IN THE LAST THREE. MY BLOND MOMENTS HAVE TAKEN OVER AND I CANNOT REMEMBER WHAT I DID. I THINK I CUT THE STEMS OFF AND ADD A CUP OF SUGAR FOR EACH CUP OF FIGS. THEN ADD SOME LEMON JUICE AND SOME JELLO. That is as far as I have gotten. I am going to leave them in the fridge overnight.
