I live in the DeRidder area. Its in Beauregard Parish. There are only 4 funeral homes here. Colonial Funeral Home, Hixon's Funeral Home and Used to be Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home but recently changed names to Labby Funeral Home. And right off the top of my head I cannot think of the other one. Hixon's is in town and Labby is on the south side of town and Colonial is on the other side of town like going towards Merryville. But I believe there were other's back then. I have been living here all my life. There is only a hand full of cemetaries too. Might want to look at or I could check for you in rootsweb.com they have were you can look in each parish and see who's buried there. email me back at yellowjacket@beci.net and I can look for you.
