Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YCB.2ACI/568.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: the answer is library, if a person dies in a county, or parish, the library has a death index, alphabetically. look up last name, take down information, and bam!! thats it, but the catch is you have to know what county or parish they died in. for example, all calcasieu parish deaths are posted, well i should not say all but for sure 1900 to present. the only thing i ask for is for you and everyone else, do the same for someone else, its simple look up your county or parish and see if anyone need help, and maybe your county or parish have a death index to. because lake charles is not that big, and if we have one, sure bigger towns do too! call your public library and ask, if they do, go to your county page or parish,"Rootsweb" jot down a few information, and help someone.
