There were 3 letters about someone having an aunt named Nora, or Norie. They were saying "I don't know if we are related or not." I do not know if it was 3 different people, or the same person with the message being sent 3 times. I did not note the name, or e-mail address. If they were kind enough to be answering my query, I am sorry I deleted before investigating. Norie, or Nora, may have been the "little girl down the street." She would probably have been 9 or 10 in 1925, and has probably passed away by now. I just wanted to find out something about her. If the person, or persons, would kindly come back and give me their info again, or if you could rerun the message, or messages to me , I would appreciate it. I have been wondering about this little girl for a long time. She must have been a very sweet person. Thank you. Frances Terry ------=_NextPart_000_00AC_01C18A11.A2C9DD20--

I know this is rather vague but just in case someone can help, here it is. I am looking for a Civil War Veteran named DOPSON who was in a hospital at or near Ft Donelson, TN 1861/62. He was in Lake Charles between 1911 and 1916 (perhaps he was there much longer). Can anyone offer suggestions as to how I can find more information concerning this man? Floreda

They do not charge to look it up....but they do charge .20 (twenty cents) to make a copy plus postage which is .34 (thirty four cents). You can contact them either by snail mail or email at: Email: gen@grok.calcasieu.lib.la.us Southwest Louisiana Genealogical and Historical Library 411 Pujo Street Lake Charles, La 70601-4254 If you do get a copy of the obit, I would appreciate if you would type it up and email it to me so I can put it online with the other obits in the Calcasieu Parish Archives for the USGenWeb Project. To whom it may, or may not, concern, I was born in Calcashieu Parish, on March 27, 1925 in Westlake. I was told that my middle name was for a little girl, who lived down the street from my family. Her name was Lenora. That is all I know about her--no last name. I have recently thought I might look at a city directory for Westlake, if there is one. I might find out whos this little girl was. I'm sure her family and mine were good friends. Are there city directories for this town, and where might I found out about this?? Frances Terry < franleet@hal-pc.org >
