Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YCB.2ACI/150.402.1.1.1 Message Board Post: George Washington Ryan was JJR Seniors' son or JJR Junior? I must be under the misguided impression JJR Senior only had two boys Issac Ryan (the one killed at the Alamo) and JJR Junior the "Father of Lake Charles." I also thought Junior had two boys one of whom never married and had no children and James Ira my link. I know zip about the Whites. I do have some goofy pictures of George Edward & Helen White. You know, the black & whites when no one smiled. P.S. I am a man, so trying to commit details to memory is really asking for trouble.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YCB.2ACI/150.402.1 Message Board Post: Hi Rebecca! Is White your married or maiden name? The reason I ask is my great grandmother was Helen White Ryan. Could just be coincidental. My lineage is as follows: JJR begat James Ira Ryan, begat George Edward Ryan, begat George Laural Ryan. George L. Ryan was my maternal grandfather. George Edward Ryan was married to Helen White. Unfortunately, I knew none of these relatives. Anyway, it's kind of fun to know some history of your family. I know many of the players names on the Carnes side, but nothing they did.

Have you tried contacting the adoption records by the state. I have an oh, my great aunt adopted a child and and my aunt died but the child is now 40 years old and she went to the place that put her in the home of the adoped parents. Also call the courthouse in Lake Charles and they would be able to help you or the Civil Office of Sheriff's department and they could point you in the correct direction. Also if you know abouts where you were born and have a copy of the birth certificate that might help also. Sincerely, rebecca

I live in the DeRidder area. Its in Beauregard Parish. There are only 4 funeral homes here. Colonial Funeral Home, Hixon's Funeral Home and Used to be Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home but recently changed names to Labby Funeral Home. And right off the top of my head I cannot think of the other one. Hixon's is in town and Labby is on the south side of town and Colonial is on the other side of town like going towards Merryville. But I believe there were other's back then. I have been living here all my life. There is only a hand full of cemetaries too. Might want to look at or I could check for you in rootsweb.com they have were you can look in each parish and see who's buried there. email me back at yellowjacket@beci.net and I can look for you. I think there is about 10 or more cemeteries here I think in this parish but I know where they are exactly located. If you need me to look just email me and I can see what I can do! Sincerely, Rebecca
