He died late 1922 or early 1923. He was married to an Elizabeth. She died around May 13, 1922. She had given birth to my grandmother Johnnie LaVerne Brown 2 days before on the 11th. This would've been the 3rd or so marriage for both. They had 6 or so kids between them, mostly older children. When they died Johnnie was sent to half or step sister Maudie in Tyler, TX. Johnnie was then sent to orphanage in Waco. Maudie already had 5 kids of own. Had a sister Virgie, and a brother A.V. we believe. Thank you for any help. Charity

CAPT. TOM REYNOLDS IS DEAD, AFTER A BRAVE BATTLE WITH THE GRIM DESTROYER, HE YIELDED UP HIS SPIRIT TO ITS MAKER AT 5'0'CLOCK THIS MORNING. FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS HE HAS BEEN IN A COMATOSE CONDITION AND HIS FRIENDS HAD AMPLE WARNING OF HIS APPROACHING DISSOLUTION. THE FUNERAL TAKES PLACE THIS AFTERNOON AT 4:30 FROM THE FAMILY RESIDENCE ON KIRKMAN STREET, FOLLOWED BY SERVICES AT THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH, AT 5:30. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YCB.2ACI/568.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: the answer is library, if a person dies in a county, or parish, the library has a death index, alphabetically. look up last name, take down information, and bam!! thats it, but the catch is you have to know what county or parish they died in. for example, all calcasieu parish deaths are posted, well i should not say all but for sure 1900 to present. the only thing i ask for is for you and everyone else, do the same for someone else, its simple look up your county or parish and see if anyone need help, and maybe your county or parish have a death index to. because lake charles is not that big, and if we have one, sure bigger towns do too! call your public library and ask, if they do, go to your county page or parish,"Rootsweb" jot down a few information, and help someone. His sister was Mildred Hazel Moore b. 7/15/1904 and d. 4/26/1980. I would love her obituary, if you have it. Her husband Walter Young was b. 12/12/1893 and d. 12/21/1975. They lived in Moss Bluff.
