Mary Ann: Miller County in Arkansas was formed out of Lafayette in 1874. And yes, it was form entirely out of Lafayette County. All records of that part of Arkansas are found in Lafayette County prior to 1874. Is you Pearson family part of the Pearson family that lived near Ida in northern Caddo Parish? I grew up there and went to school with several Pearsons.
