Does anyone know how to find out if there was a wedding between James Pearson and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Gibson, probably between 1900 - 1905 and probably in Caddo Parish? If anyone can help me, I'd sure appreciate it! Shelby

Shelby, if they were married in Caddo Parish the marriage should be recorded in the Courthouse in Shreveport. I have gotten marriages from that period from there. Write to Office of the Parish Clerk, Caddo Parish Courthouse, Shreveport, LA 71101 and request cost of obtaining copies of that marriage. Be sure to include a stamped, self-addressed envelope. If you get a reply, then send the money to cover cost and they should send you a copy of the marriage record. Sometimes this will work and sometimes not, according to how busy the clerks are at the time. If not, maybe someone will volunteer to check for you. If you find that their marriage is not recorded in Caddo Parish, check the surrounding parishes, and don't forget to check in the counties of Texas and Arkansas. I found a lot of Caddo Parish Marriages recorded in the Courthouse in Lewisville, Lafayette County, AR. However, these were much earlier before Miller County, AR was taken from Lafayette County.
