When did you go to school there? My uncles did and I have some of their pictures, from a tiny school with only 20 or 30 people in it. James or Robert Pearson? My grandfather may have had cousins there who still have family that stayed in the area. My Uncle James is about 65 years old and my Uncle Robert would have been about 60 or 62 years old. Shelby: I graduated from Ida High School in 1950. There were 18 in my graduating class. We had lots and lots of fun, for everyone knew everyone and it was great! There was a Pearson in our graduating class. He was K. O. Pearson. Unfortunately he was killed about a year later in an automobile accident. I do not remember the name of his father, but remember an older brother named Roy Dale who had red hair. That's about all I remember about the Pearson family. I do not recall a James or Robert, but they would have been about 10 or 12 years behind me. A few years after we graduated, the high school was consolidated and all the high school students went to Vivian to North Caddo High School. The elementery school continued for a few years, but then it was consolidated also. After that, I understand that a private school was organized and continued to use the School building in Ida for a few years. Now the school building has been torn down, the gymnasium has fallen almost down and it is all concealed by trees and just a jungle. Can't tell the school was ever there.... very sad! Every year the graduating class had a picture panel made that was hung in the school hallway. These pictures were rescued before the building was torn down and now are displayed in the Community Center in Ida. If I can help further, let me know.
