However, I have not found any sign of Haydens (as distinct from Hadens) in the Shreveport area in the mid-1880s, while there were quite a few Hadens. Perhaps yours was a Haden, and, like Alonzo, changed to the more common spelling later on. I will see if I can find your Ann. If you learn more about her, let me know. I have lots of information about the Haden family which I would be glad to share. Have you checked the census?
