I have had three responses to my message, so we are on a roll!!! I have no idea who the list manager is for this list: Manager: Please say Howdy and let us know who you are! The way this list is set up, when someone posts, you just see the first post, responses go back to the sender only, unless you use the "reply all" of the mail feature. Which can be good, I guess. Anyway, I do and have had a lot of family in Caddo parish - most all in the northern area, along the Miller County line. I have two great-grandfathers buried in the cemetery in Ida, plus multiple others. One great-grandfather was blown up by dynamite at Missionary. Another grandfather, from California, share cropped and raised my mother and her family any way he could. My mother tells of picking cotton and riding on the cotton sack as a baby while her brothers and sisters worked in the field. He tried to go back to California one time, packed the family up and got rid of the few belongings they owned, and headed out - only to be turned back during the dustbowl. So back to Caddo Parish they came, to start over again, find another job, and fix up another old house. It was hard times. I live about one/half hour away from Caddo Parish now, and take every chance I can to go that direction, because I love the feel of driving through the county. family names in Caddo are; Thacker, (Thatcher), Baird, Middleton. I hope everyone has a great week-end. Vicki in Texarkana
