He was Lewis D. Saffold and his parents were Thomas SAFFOLD and Sarah ASKEW, who were married August 21, 1823, in Jasper County, GA. Thomas was a son of William SAFFOLD, Jr. (Rev. Soldier), born in Surrey or Lunenberg County, VA, died 1815 in GA, probably Washington County, and Ann GOUDELOCH, daughter of Adam Goudeloch and Anna Stockton. I have nothing on the CALDWELL or WILLIAMSON lines you mentioned. Olivia
