I have heard of people getting information off of such records. I am searching for both Charles C. Neal and Thomas Jefferson Neal. I know where Charles is buried and Thomas is probably in Oakland Cemetery also in an unmarked grave. Tom died 1850 - 1859 and Charles in 1862. Mr. Slattery told me he died in the Battle of Antietam. Since my grandmother was an orphan at an early age, we really did not know for sure he was in the war. Thanks for any information about the survival of funeral home records. Charlie Neal Gee
