I know Elizabeth Jane Bates was married to George Andrew Franklin Poole. It is written in several accounts of George's life that Elizabeth had three or four husbands before she married him. Elizabeth Jane Bates, b. 10/18/1834; d. 10/31/1909 in Bossier Parish; buried Poole-Sutton Cemetery, Bossier Parish, LA.; married George Andrew Franklin Poole 2/17/1857 George Andrew Franklin Poole b. 11/16/1830 TN; d. 8/2/1909 Bossier Parish, LA; Buried Poole-Sutton Cemetery Elizabeth Bates' parents may have been Elizabeth Butler or Sarah (?), d. 1844 and William Bates, d. 1858. William may have been buried in Webster Parish, LA. Elizabeth's husbands and children may have been: ??? McFarland ??? McMullin Child-Lervis or Lesvis or Lewis McMullin ?Lewis McMillian Child-Lewis or Louise McMillian ??? Bishop ??? Farmer; Child-Attie Farmer ??? Bryant; Child-James Bryant or James Richardson Bryant, possibly called Jim G. A. F. Poole- I have information on the Poole marriage and their children which I will gladly share.
