(Dates of death range from 1886 to 1960) BLACK BAYOU: This old cemetery is on the Vivian-Gilliam highway, about four miles from Vivian. There was a Baptist church beside the cemetery, but it was burned down during a forest fire several years ago. Black Bayou cemetery is uncared for, and many of the markers are of native stone. jjcmarshall, You have a surname of Thompson listed for Black Bayou Cemetery. Can you post what info you have about this surname. Some of my kin were up northwest of Shreveport from Blanchard on up to Vivian. Thanks for your help. Ronald Thompson
