My branch of the family is from Rosiana's brother William Cupp, who married a Hannah/Elizabeth Sayers (his second wife) and had my great grandmother, Amanda (Mattie) Cupp. If you are interested in comparing notes I have noticed that in that family several of the Cupps married Smiths: Nancy Mahaffey married John Cupp in 1812 in Simpson Co. MS. They had the following children: William m. Julia Ann Page and 2nd Hannah Sayers (Elizabeth) John the 3rd m. Mary Sayers Nancy Mathilda m. WJ Smith James Monroe m.
