Smith, 57, of 327 Beardsley Ave., who died Thursday in a Bakersfield hospital. The Rev. Murray Hall, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Oildale will officiate and interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Smith, a native of Oklahoma had lived in California 23 years and in Kern County 20 years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 428 and Golden Queen Post 358, American Legion, Mojave. Surviving are his widow, Euda; a daughter, Marcine Chanz of Bishop; three brothers, LeRoy of Bakersfield, George of California City, and Sam of Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. Anna Harden of Louisiana; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ronald Macey, Dave Beauchamp, Al Engi, Glenn Dolph, Zack Phillips, and Pic Geraud.
