    3. Theresa, Forgive the late responding. Your note caught my eye and I thought I would let you know that I have the BRAGG name quite a bit in my family information. My direct line is actually in the BEASLEY name but the BRAGG's and BEASLEY's married. My line of BRAGG evidently traveled from Mississippi and/or Tennessee, in about 1847, with the BEASLEY family, (Jesse and his wife Elizabeth) and settled in Navarro and Roane Counties in Texas. His name was Joseph BRAGG and he married Julian HAMILTON. These 3 families, BEASLEY, BRAGG, and HAMILTON, were very instrumental in the progress of Navarro and Roane Counties. There is a quarterly publication called Navarro Leaves and Branches, (which I found at my library) that has lots of history with the BEASLEY and BRAGG names listed frequently. With my BRAGG line, I've been able to get back to 1812 in Alabama with the birth of a William BRAGG. (one brother to the above mentioned Joseph) It appears that at least 6 more children were born through 1833, all in Alabama. Then, the next generation of BRAGG seemed to be coming together in Texas. The head of this specific household (father to Joseph and William) is Jesse BRAGG, married to Nancy (don't know the last name). I have absolutely no information on Jesse and I estimate the year of his birth to be about 1789 - 1793. Jesse and Nancy had 8 children total. I also have a W.S. BRAGG and his wife, S.E. BRAGG, who sold the Post Oak Baptist Church of Christ in Navarro County to Mat BEASLEY, Wiley BEASLEY, and J.M. FRAZIER for $30 dollars in July of 1883. There were 3 acres of land included with this purchase, not to mention the building. A school was built across the road from the church and the grounds began serving as a cemetery. Anyway, I have at least 25 people in my tree with the name BRAGG. I did a search however, and I have no CARRINGTON, no CARR, no CHEATHAM, no BROWN, and no WEST. I have one MOSLEY who is in my tree by marriage and I have zero information on her. I hope I haven't caused you confusion. If you want more information please feel free to email me at kathlinestewart@earthlink.net. Kathline Stewart
