Hello Elaine Do you still have access to the I's? I have been looking for one of my ancestors, Edward (Ed, or any variation) Irvine b. abt 1869 to Edward Francis Irvine and wife Harriot Watson Irvine. Edward (the son) later dropped the "E" in his last name for some reason. He also had sisters, Ida, Mary, Lizzie, Anna and Ruth that I have been unable to find. The 1870 Caddo census showed he was born somewhere in Tennessee. Thank you for any help you can give me as it's deeply appreciated. Marguerite

I try to look up what I can in one cemetery and the death index that I have on hand when people post. Looking for decendants of Eula Cooper b 1875 LA d unknown married M. Polman / Pohlman / Pollman. According to the 1906 succession of Isaac and Ann Broughton, her grandparents, Eula was a resident of Caddo Parish.

Caddo Parish does have these records or some records listed on computer. However they are only avaliable if someone goes to the courthouse. I would suggest that you write to them requesting the look ups. It is free unless you want to purchase the documents. Thanks for checking--doesn't look like any strong matches. I might check the 72 y/o perhaps the record was filed late and wrong. He definitely died in 1927 and in Caddo and was born in the 1870s. Its quite a mystery.
