Taken from History of Bienville Parish, Vol 1, page 327 (There is more on the MURPHY/MURPHEY family, but I don't have the book- just a few copied pages) Jesse Murphey was born April 22, 1828 in Bienville Parish. (No death date given) >>>>It may be noted that during the war between the states he upheld the honor of the South by serving in the 28th Louisiana Infantry. Rachael died on Nov 27, 1884 and is interred at Campground Cemetery in Bienville Parish. After her death Jesse married Mary Ann Ware.
