Hi Cynthia, I have my mother-in-laws copy of the book that her cousin, Eva Loe McDuffie wrote about Liberty Hill - Brush Valley area of Bienville Parish. She mentions the Sherwood Raborn family, stating that he was born in 1811 in Mississippi. His wife's name was Sarah and they had the following children: Permelia b. 1833 in MS, Leatha b 1835 in LA, Angeline b 1837 LA, James b 1839 LA, Emily b 1841 LA, Nancy b 1843 LA, Columbia b 1845 LA, and Henry b 1847 LA. She also mentions a Samuel Raborn, who married Maria Fouts, they moved to TX. She goes on to say that Henry married Martha Whitley b 1859 at Liberty Hill, and they moved to Navasota TX. She didn't have any further info on them, nor does she mention Elzy Raborn, or any of the Carter family.
