Hi Kristin, Have you tried the Vital Records Registry in New Orleans for a copy of her birth certificate? Birth and death certs are not kept in the individual parishes but rather all are sent to New Orleans. I haven't heard that there was ever a fire down there that lost some records.....but perhaps I am wrong....or perhaps something in Bienville Parish burned before it was sent to N.O.?
