Herbert Smith married Carrie Dale Woolridge. Herbert was supposed to be from Flint, Mich. One of his sons, Stanley Hines went to college in Mich., during the 1915 to 1919 time frame, were he played football & wrestled, & picked up the nickname "Bearcat". I know further that Stanley Hines was in Houston Texas by 1920 but am not sure about the location of the rest of the family, but believe them to also be the Texas area by 1920. Here is what I, currently, know of the line: They had 4 children: 1. Stanley Hines (m: Mintha Lillian Ballew), 2. Jessie Elmer (had a son, Jack Smith), 3. Laura Smith, 4. a son, name unk. Stanley was my Grandfather. He had the following children: 1.James Archie (m: Vera Mae Cook); 2.Loyce Alberta (m: David Richard Caloway); 3.Malvin Malcolm (m: Ruth Maurine Gunn); 4.Regional Hines,(married 3 X's); 5.Laurie Dean (m: Glenda ?); 6.Laura Jean (m: Clarence Zeagler); 7.Stanley Elmer (m: Shirley ?); 8.Lillian Rose (m: Jimmy Varnell); 9.Joyce Marie (m:??
