Looking for information about the ancestors and descendants of CHARLES KING CHESNUTT & his wife, SARAH PEW. Charles was born about 1790 possibly in Sampson County, North Carolina. Charles died in Dec. 1840 in possibly Irwin Co., Georgia. Sarah died about 1855. I might have gotten information that they were buried at a Chestnutt Cemetery in Worth County, Georgia. Hi , I need a little info on this book from 1898 In the history of Bienville, among the men who served in the civil war is listed one Isaac Aldridge, Can anyone tell me where to find his record? He is not listed in Andrew Booth's Louisiana Soldiers I am also looking for Eliz Anderson who was born about 1833 and married Allen Arledge in 1851 and Mary Emma Brinkley born about the same time and married in 1855 to Johnathon Arledge Neither girl is listed on the 1850 census in Bienville but they were married there Another connection to the family is the George W Bush who married Patsy Arledge in 1817 in Ouachita but was on the 1830 census in Claiborne He died in 1842 but left a son of the same name Any help on these will be appreciated Thanks JOY

Laura Wilkerson was the daughter of Fannie Norris Wilkerson, who died in 1913. Laura was born in Bienville Parish in 1860 and died at Caddo Parish in 1929. Looking for my grgrandparents, ISRAEL WILLIAM GREEN and MARTHA CATHERINE MCKEE. This is ALL I have: 1804 - Approx birth year of Israel in SC 1839 - Bought land in Claiborne Parish, now in Bienville Parish from US Govt. 1840 - Census shows living in Claiborne Parish with woman 60-70 years old. Maybe mother? 1850 - Census shows living in Bienville Parish in household of Philix Lewis 1866 - Married in Bienville Parish to Martha Catherine McKee (she was from GA, b 6-26-1844, d 5-22-1914) 1880 - Census shows living in Claiborne Parish 1900 - Census shows Martha, widow living in Bossier Parish with son Fred (She is buried in our family plot in Bossier Parish as are her children Fred, John and Mary.) Israel and Martha had John Colbert, Israel Frederick, Mary Senorah (my grandmother) and Martha Elizabeth. I found Martha's cousins, John, Quilla, and Dora McKee, on the 1900 and 1910 census for Claiborne Parish. In later years they lived in Bryceland. The house is still there. When did they die? Where are they buried? I've been unable to find anything else on Israel, Martha and her cousins. If anyone can help me with any information, I would appreciate it. Mari Jayne Burke
