My mother has been dead for 20 years. He was her father. I just recently tried to find something out about him. My mother has two sisters still living. I've asked them about who his parents were and they could not or would not remember anything about his family. I was just a baby when he died. I have talked to a Fletcher man that is running the Wilcox lineage and he said that George Parker Wilcox had a brother named Alex. When George Wilcox died he was living in Jamestown,Bienville Parish. You don't think about these things until you get older. There is some of the same bunch of Wilcox living in annaco. This is about all I know. Please let me hear from you. God Bless Pat

Posted on: Bienville Parish Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/La/Bienville?read=434 Surname: Whitlow, Blewer, Blackwood, Frey ------------------------- Glenda, So great to hear from you. I've had this information for years and I'm not sure where I got it....probably from relatives in the area of Saline, La. But.... Huelett Blewer was b December 17, 1886 and died February 16, 1938. I don't have the dates for Chriswell Whitlow nor do I have their children's names, spouses, and grand children. Huelett's parents were: John George Blewer Second b August 08, 1849 d January 10, 1913 in Bienville Parish, LA. He married Catherine L. Babers (no dates for her). I have the names and dates of all their children if you will email me for that at annettehp@yahoo.com John George Blewer was s/o John Peter Blewer who was b abt 1820 in SC (probably Pa. since his mother died there, supposedly) and died 1867 in Arkansas (don't have county). He married Nubilia R. Y. Ann Cook and had 4 children which I have all their names and births. Nubilia died abt 1850 in Al. and he married again Mary Sydney Barnard and had abt 6 children which I don't have exact birth dates for them. John Peter Blewer was son of John George Blewer First and Elizabeth M. Jones. He died January 06, 1826 in the Lexington District, SC and she died January 12, 1823 in Pennsylvania. I have 5 children for them and some of their birth dates. John George Blewer First was the s/o Peter Blewer b July 1748 in SC and died April 17, 1812 Charleston District (Berkley County) South Carolina and Elizabeth Unknown who died April 08, 1825 in Charleston. She had a will. We think Peter Blewer was s/o of John (Hans) Blewer of Switzerland b 1735. I connect the Blewer line through Peter & Elizabeth's daughter, Katherine Blewer who married Hans Jacob Frey b July 12, 1789 in Basel, SWitzerland. He arrived in PA. after 1800 and followed the Blewer family from Pa to Charleston where he married Katherine. The family moved then to Orangeburg District, SC; then Spartanburg Co., SC; then to Bienville Parish, La. where both died. Apparently other family members came too. Hope to hear from you as I would like to add you to my data base and find out where your Blewer family moved to from Friendship. Emma Irene Blackwood b March 16, 1877 married James Renard Frey the grandson of Hans Jacob Frey and Katherine Blewer. I have the names of their children but know very little more about them. She could be a sibling of your Blackwood or a cousin. What do you know about them? Your Blewer cousin, Ann
HI, There was a lady whose surname was Whitlow. She married a West and they ended up in New Mexico where she died. Her husband, I believe Euclides West, then moved to Texas. My desk was cleaned and rearranged so it will take me a bit to find the info. I received a package from a lady in Texas about this. The title was "The Way West with EJ West". Regards, Leon P.S. I was told that my ancestor, Clarinda Gray, is buried in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Castor, Louisiana. If someone is near there I would appreciate it if they could check it out. Hi Listers, For all of those whose ancestors may have embarked from Hamburg Germany to all points, there is now a great site that allows you to search for them. The address is: http://www.hamburg.de/LinkToYourRoots/english/welcome.htm They are putting a few years at a time on line so it will take a while, but, what a wonderful resource. Currently 1890-1893 is online, but, eventually 1850-1934 will come on line. Hoping all of you have a wonderful 4th of July! Peggy Listowner
