It will probably be a month before I get it back. One of my sources was a book on James Simmons Descendants by Julia Clair Gurley Simmons. A copy of her book, at least the ones I've seen, can be found at the Clayton Genealogy Library in Houston and at Beauregard Parish Library in DeRidder. You can alway try Interlibrary Loan to get a copy. There are also other people on the Internet that have this Simmons line on their web page. (I only have my direct line on my web page.) I noted some of them on my web page. (So many of us are inter-related with a lot of the same families). I also have other sources such as census records, wills, probates, etc. It will take a while for me to search those. The only information I have on the Green family, besides the above records is what Russell Olds Faulkner wrote back in the late 1960s and from my conversations with him about a year ago. There is copy of his document in the library! in DeRidder (Beauregard Parish) and both the Green and Simmons families are noted in the Beauregard Parish Bicentennial History Book. What records have you checked so far? Kim
