My grandfather lived in Lecompte Louisiana in Rapides Parish, his name was Harold Fountain, he died overseas in WW2 in '44 or '45. Helen Pharris Light emailed my husband Toby yesterday about Thomas Pharris. Thomas married Letia Collins. They had eight children. They also lived in DeQuincy, Louisiana and that is where my mother-in-law Eldie Deal is from. She moved to Texas and that is where We are living today. Thomas and Letia's children are: Eb, Simeon(Son), Ocie, Odie,Mary Ellen, Ida(My husband's Granny), and Elsie Pharris. They had another daughter, but I forgot her name. I will try and get that name for you asap. Ida Pharris married Mr.Parker. They had three boys: Pete, John M, and Calvin Parker. Ida married again to Thomas Oscar Deal. In the 1880 census Maimer was 5, Duroc was 7, Lee was 3, Charles L. was 2. Her father Lafayette SIGLER was 36 and mother Georgia A. was 26. There was also a Barton SIGLER listed in the same census as 61 yrs old and as a dentist. His wife was Elizebeth 62, and two daughters still at home Mary 27 and Laura 15.
