Thompson, 63, were held at 2 p.m Friday at a local funeral home chapel. Burial was in the Beauregard Cemetery. Mr Thompson died at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday in a Pineville Hospital. Survivors are his wife, one daughter, Mrs Gloria Suarez of Abbeville, one sister, Mrs Clover Gorman of San Fran cisco, Calif,; and two grandchildren. someone wrote on the clipping 1972...if this is who you are looking for please inform me, I am Gloria's daughter-in-law and have been looking for any info of her family for a very long time.

    2. Hi Listers, Have been busy putting up lots of new things. Several new cemeteries are up, and have added some new headstone pictures, and some entrances to some of them. If any of you have headstone pictures, you are willing to share, just holler. If anyone has old pictures of Beauregard Parish, either people, buildings, historical landmarks etc. Would love to post them. Hixson Funeral Home Index is up to 1942. There are new marriage records up......and still needing more. If any of you have family reunions coming up, there is now a page to post them. If you have pictures or stories of past reunions, send them in.     2. The 38th annual Cooley family reunion will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at Longville Lake, West Pavilion. People usually start arriving about 10 AM and stay as long as the food and conversation holds out. This reunion is held by the descendants of Burl Jefferson Cooley, his first wife, Julia Baggett Cooley and his second wife, Lavinia Young Cooley. All Cooleys, Baggetts, Youngs, Alstons, etc., are invited to attend. Please bring a covered dish and your own soft drinks.
