I will be down in June so I will have a marker made and put out then. I got a copy of his death certificate stating his body being released from Hixons in Deridder on 1-6-1958 for burial in Good Hope. Is there someone I can contact to put a small ribbon or something on the tree so I know where to put his marker? Thanks again for all you've done.

Surnames: Thompson, Miller Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VCB.2ACI/487 Message Board Post: My gg grandfather, William Thompson is buried at the Cannon Cemetery in Beauregards Parish located close to the Merryville Junction on Hwy 190. There is a large space around his Tombstone on both sides and it seems unusual since it is a busy cemetery. I am wondering if maybe his wife is buried next to him in an unmarked grave. William died in 1895 and his wife, Susan Miller Thompson's burial place is yet to be identified. I am wondering maybe someone has access to the old church records for the cemetery and might be able to determine if she is buried in the Cannon cemetery. Thanks for any assistance in this matter. There is no marker but I talked to a man in our church who remembers a small marker with that name on it . The space he showed me is up front under a tree. The space is empty with other graves all around it. There is also West graves all around. A marker needs to be put there even if it is only a wooden cross or something. That way people will know there is a grave there. Glad to help. Alda Clark

My great-grandfather is suppose to be buried in an unmarked grave at Good Hope. Do you think maybe there is a record of where? My dad said it is towards the front, under a tree, out to the right of his step-son, William M. West. His name was William "Buck" Burnett, he died in either 1964 or 65. Thanks.

Surnames: Sanders, Foster, Henderson, Coward Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VCB.2ACI/485 Message Board Post: I am searching for documentation about Sarah Elaine Coward Sanders' parents. She was born about 1829 w/o Wm. Sanders and died by the 1870 census in Beauregard or Calcasieu Parish, La. She was supposed to be the child of Eleanor Henderson Coward, w/o Richard A. Coward, d/o Martha Foster Henderson and John Henderson. Eleanor died about 1829-1830. I copied Eleanor Henderson Coward and John Henderson's wills in Opelousas, La. Courthouse. Both wills mention specifically that Eleanor was the deceased wife of Richard A. Coward and that Martha Foster was the mother of Eleanor and wife of John Henderson (will filed 1833). Both mention Eleanor's two minor children JANE & WM. COWARD. They do not list Sarah Elaine Coward as Eleanor's child. I would appreciate any help. June
