I am seeking information on James Thomas Malone. He was born 30 Jul 1845 and died 17 Sep 1919. I have him listed as a Confederate Veteran from Alabama, but can not find any records proving his service. I also knew your Dad. I went to school with him. He was a couple of years older but we rode the same bus, that is when the Burnett boys rode the bus, sometimes they would just cut across the woods and wind up at school before the bus got there. I have heard all kind of stories about the Burnett boys. It seems they made a reputaion for themselves as far as being woodsmen. My husband tells me stories of going with them fishing and catching aligators. I remember they were close with the Wilson family and was always together. Your Dad was a couple of grades ahead of me . When I first met them I was in 6th grade. I work at Singer High School , this is my 23 year so I remerber lost of kids and I forget a lot of things but I still have memories of your Dad and his family. Alda Clark
