I am searching for information concerning the parents of my great-grandfather Charles Francis O'MALLEY who was born December 3 1876 in Donaldsonville, Ascension Parish, Louisiana. His parents were Thomas O'MALLEY/O'MALEY and Mary BURK/BURKE. He had a brother Patrick O'MALLEY, who was born November 23, 1878. I found Thomas and Mary in the 1870 Census. Does anyone know where they were born, who their parents and siblings were, and whether the brother Patrick had children. Charles O'Malley came to Las Vegas New Mexico as a telegraph lineman right around the turn of the century, married Augusta FLECK, and stayed there for the rest of his life. He was a wonderful man of many accomplishments, and I would love to find his family. Our stories say that his parents died before he came West, of broken hearts after they lost everything to a flooding of the Mississippi River. I think they had levies or something.
