My Ascension parish ancestors were ZIMMER, COMES, and related families of LEBLANC, LANDRY, BREAUD, etc. Luck for me, my dad's cousin has done this tree for us. I am working on my maternal ancestors of PART, OLIVIER, LANDRY, MICHEL, MELANCON, CRAINE, and RICHARD. They were residents of St. James, Ascension, and Lafayette parishes. I presently live on Grand Isle. Can you believe our local library has NO genelogy material? I do get home to Gonzales and Convent often and usually make a trip or two to the libraries.
