Hi & Welcome To The Ascension Parish Mail List! I was doing some checking to see who might have subscribed to the list and was surprised to see so many of you already! As you can see, this list is not real active, but if we get some conversation started, who knows what might pop up. I am the Ascension Parish USGenWeb Site Sponsor. I live in Ascension Parish and was interested in seeing more genealogical data on the internet for all of you who are researching in this area. I am willing to help as much as I can, but I do work full-time and have a family. If you need assistance, please just keep that in mind. I'll be glad to do what I can, as I can. Meanwhile, I have been interested in getting in contact with the Ascension Parish Genealogical Society. Do any of you happen to have any affiliation with that group? Also, if any of you have information specific to Ascension Parish that you would like to submit for our Ascension Parish Database (i.e., extracted marriage, birth, cemetery records, family histories, bible records, etc.), I would be most happy to put them up. It's a simple task and I feel it would be worthwhile to many of you in hopes of making contact with others who are researching your same line. Let me know if I can help in anyway.
