    3. The ones that I found were mostly in the first three volumes of the "blue books" Southwest Louisiana Records. So, I guess they have to be pretty far back to be included in these records. Volume three stops at 1840. I found a little more in vol 4, but most of that I already had. No, the churches didn't do birth certificates, but many of the records give the age of the person at the time of baptism. Good luck finding your folks.
