Jean Baptiste Babin who was the first professional building mover in Lafayette. He was born on The Latiolas Plantation in Breaux Bridge,La. JB Babin, Jr. before he died taped conversation in which he described life on his grandfathers plantation. He said the farm was in Breaux Bridge and at this time wasn't it in ST Landrys Parish? As a man of faith,(JB Jr) his skills as a carpenter contributed to the construction of St Paul’s Church,St Genevieve’s of Lafayette and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Any help would be appreciated.
