    2. Hello Jan, It doesn't appear anyone else has responded to your query. In my limited experience, it appears that Shaw's landing would be the pier where the boats tie up at Mr. Shaw's place on the river. If anyone else has a difference explanation for this I too would be interested in hearing it.
