Hello I am searching for information on my great-grandfather. His name is Joseph Borel Born in France (exact place unknown) he was born approximately 1856. He was married to Theresa Mouledous also born in France (around 1862) They resided in N.O. at some point on N. Robertson Street. They had 4 children that I know of ( Rene Jean Borel & Marie Felecite' Borel were born twins 11/22/1885. I do know that at some point, Therese Mouledous died ( I was told during child birth ( but dont have proof) & the children were placed in St. Anne Orphanage. My grandfather only saw his father one more time on his death bed. with the children being put in an orphanage, & my father being the youngest in his family & me being the youngest in mine, its hard to get accurate info from the family. Their are 2 mysteries at this point Im trying to solve 1.) Rene Jean Borel ( my grandfather ( who died before I was born by the way in 1967) had an obituary that said, he had 1 brother & two sisters. ( Frank Borel, Marie Borel ( who married into the Stuprich Family) & the other sisters name was Felicea Borel who married into the Flithers or Flitchers family.) I am new to genealogy but it seems strange if the twin is named Marie Felecite' & then another child's 1st name be Felecea or Felecite' ? 2.) My other search is I know from my grandfather certificate that My great grandparents were natives of France. How can I find out what part of France? & how do I get certificates for them? Well any feedback would be greatly appreaciated!! Thanks Barbara M. Borel
