No, Not really close. They are about 40-50 miles apart. Grand Marais is in the eastern most part of Vermilion Parish, right at the parish line with Iberia Parish, by Delcambre, LA. Grand Marais has probably been absorbed into Delcambre they were so close on the map. Iberia Parish is between Vermilion and St. Mary Parish and St. Mary Parish is where Calumet is located. The LOUISIANA POST OFFICE book shows a post office was there briefly in 1877 (May - Oct) and then again in 1880 to 1886 when it was discontinued. No population is given. First postmaster was T. LANDRY. After it was discontinued the first time mail was sent to Abbeville. The town name was then changed to Peigneur. Peigneur had a post office from 1886-1890 and first postmaster was Nicholas BROUSSARD. Hope this helps.
