Grand Woods was located on the east side of Bayou Teche south of Franklin, LA (in St. Mary Parish). It was located just opposite the town of Calumet, LA . Grand Woods had a post office between 1875-1877 with the first postmaster being Robert GOOCH. in 1875 Grand Woods population was 250 people.
