Just a short note to let some know what some cost in genealogy are now. Last May I faxed a letter to the West Feleciana Clerk of Court trying to see if they have any info on my gg-grandfather, Charles Carey Simmons, which little is known about. In yesterdays mail I received a copy of the fax I sent to them and attached to it was a bill for $33.00. In the description it reads: Research Marriage, Probate, and Land Records $30.00 Copies $ 3.00 If I want to see what they have I will mail in the money, but no clues as to what they found for my $33. All a part of business I guess. Are these figures inline with other parishes? Chris Metairie, LA
