This is the only compilation of Italians only to this port. Vol. contains 44 passenger lists, vol. 2 contains 22 lists, and vol. 3 will consist of over 55 lists. The CDs consist of three formats and an A-Z index. All lists give names, age, marital status, occupation, native country or town, and final destinations of about 40, 000 Italian family members who came to settle in this area. Also included are the names of those deported, were ill, runaways, stowaways, newborns, and those who died on the passage and the cause of death. The lists also name the masters of each ship and the sources of the microfilm from which the data was copied. The lists give the ports of departures and other ports the ship may have visited. These CDs are a complete record of all the Italians who came to New Orleans and then settled throughout the state of Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, and those who went to other areas. The cost of the first CD is $40, postpaid. Vol. 2 and vol. 3 cost $35 each, postpaid.
