    3. http://ebrclerkofcourt.org/news/birth.htm Louisiana Birth Certificates After many years of New Orleans being the only outlet for obtaining a copy of Louisiana Birth Certificates, a new satellite office of Vital Records is open in Baton Rouge for quick and easy service in this area. Because we get many calls at the office seeking this information, we want everyone to be aware of this new availability. The office is located at 353 N. 12th Street and the hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on weekdays. In addition to birth certificates, the office will be able to provide copies of death certificates. Their phone number is 342-1930. Additionally, in the latter half of 2000, Clerks’ offices throughout the state will have this information available for the public. For now, however, we have a location in Baton Rouge for our citizens and those nearby to use and avoid the necessity of driving to New Orleans to secure a copy of a vital record.
