    3. Hi I have Shaw cousins in SE Texas who are also Morgan descendants, not sure if it's the same ones, but they were in LA before TX... And then there's the Brians, a family that would take years to sort out. Some Shaw cousins have O'Brians from LA, who came from NC or SC and some were near the Cumberland Gap. Originally they arrived from Ireland in VA and moved south and west, at least one was on the run for theft crimes committed in Ireland. Seems to have been several brothers, and sometimes they changed the spelling of their names from O'Brian, O'Bryan, Bryant, Brian, Bryan, for whatever reason at the time. Wondering if they're all part of the same group. This was in the 1700's and they were in the Felicianas, and other LA locations by and before the 1820's. They seemed to be close friends of my Shaw family, descendants of William Shaw who also was said to be from NC (or SC, depending on which record you find). I see their names as witnesses on marriage records, etc. Seems like all this should tie together somehow.
