IRISH WORKSHOP A workshop on Irish genealogical research will be held on December second from 9-3:30 at John Calvin Presbyterian Church, 4201 Transcontinental Drive, Metairie. Elizabeth Kelley Kerstens, CGRS, of Plymouth, Michigan, will be the guest lecturer. She is an experienced Irish researcher and lecturer, and Co-director of the National Genealogy Society's Research Trips to Dublin. She is Editor of both _Genealogical Computing_ and _OnBoard_, and the creator of Clooz®, an electronic filing cabinet for genealogical records. The workshop will focus on techniques for finding the origins of Irish ancestors using resources available in the United States. It will include case studies, research strategies, and tips on how to separate fact from "blarney" in oral family traditions. Registration is $20.00 until 15 November and $25.00 after that date; on-site registration will be from 8-9. Irish books will be on sale.
