    2. Forwarded with permission: Subj: Re: Bossier Parish cemetery Date: 11/30/2000 4:47:27 AM Central Standard Time From: cliftondcardin@juno.com (Clifton D. Cardin) To: JSBRIDG@aol.com Hello Joyce, They are referring to the Mount Zion Cemetery near the Camp Zion Baptist Church on Camp Zion Road southeast of Haughton. It is in my cemetery book, but is not listed on the rootsweb Bossier Parish cemeteries site. (Patron apparently doesn't know about my book, or he would have had instructions to the cemetery.) The cemetery was apparently established by the Hodges family around 1843, as a private cemetery and still is privately owned. It is a favorite cemetery with the school children that we take out once a year to visit Bossier cemeteries. (The chiggers love the kids too.) The site of the cemetery is interesting, since the 1859/1865 Bossier Parish map shows a Lyceum Center there. Haven't been able to find anything else about it. Feel free to forward this on. Sincerely Yours, Clifton D. Cardin, Official Bossier Parish Historian
