This is a great list with a lot of good researchers willing to help pass on what they know. In fact, the board members of LGHS are suppose to be subscribed to this list and they are suppose to jump in and help out when a subscribers question can not be answered by another subscriber <grin> There is a mailing list that many new comers to La reseach mistakenly subscribe to "La-Data" which is NOT for posting queries. The La-Data list is only for submitting information to the file managers of the different parish archives. It is NOT a general mailing list. It is more of a "read-only" type of list, unless you happen to have data (such as land records, bible records, etc.) to submit that you want put into a parish archive.
