    1. [LA-LGHS-L] HEDGES; FARVE
    2. In researching my family tree, I had gr. grandparents, THOMAS & MARGARET HEDGES , who resided in Lake Arthur, (Jefferson Davis Parish), LA around 1911. Thomas had a blacksmith shop on Main Street (Lake Ave.) and was supposed to have been on city council at one point. When Margaret died, she was returned to PA for burial, but Thomas returned to LA and remained there until abt. 1953 when he became ill and returned to PA. Also, I believe Thomas' brother, James, might have resided there also. They were orignally from Wales. I have tried to find this couple in the 1920 census, but was unsuccessful. I am interested in any information I could find on these ancestors. Also, there was a Mrs. ELISABETH C. FARVE who lived in Crowley, LA (I don't know the parish) between 1886 and 1916. I have a copy of a newspaper clipping from 1916 stating that she was a pioneer Crowley lady, and that she had a coffee shop and lunch counter on Parkerson Avenue "on the site now occupied by the People's Restaurant". I would also be interested in any information that would help my research. Thanks in advance for any help. Ruth Ann
